The Department of Florida Veterans of Foreign Wars has selected Mrs. Laura Robbins of Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School (EJSHS) as the winner of the Citizenship Teacher Award for grades 9-12. To receive this honor, Robbins first had to win the local Post 10148. She then won the District 8 award Citizenship Teacher of the Year Award for grades 9 – 12. Mrs. Robbins’ selection will now be forwarded to the National Organization for final judging. Robbins teaches 11th grade American Government Honors, Advance Placement American Government, and U.S. History at EJSHS. She has been teaching at Edgewood since 2004.
