As we approach the winter break, I would like to thank the students, staff, parents and community members who are a part of helping to create an atmosphere of excellence in Brevard Public Schools.
In addition, all of us in Brevard Public Schools would like to express our gratitude to the community for weighing critical facts surrounding the recent critical needs 0.25 mill ballot question. In times of real economic challenge, we have kept priorities based on opportunities for students. The academic and extra-curricular success of those students remains high. Engaged and supportive parents, business partners and community members play a large part in that success. In allowing the School Board to continue to levy this 0.25 mill, citizens have demonstrated incredible support for our schools. For that, we are truly thankful. We understand and appreciate the trust people have placed in us through their vote. We will continue to pursue both efficiency and excellence as we seek to provide the highest quality education possible for the children of this community.
During this holiday season, I am reminded again of how much we in BPS have to be thankful for: dedicated and inspiring instructional and support staff in our schools; challenging curriculum and educational programs; motivated and eager students; and involved families. Working together, we will continue our mission to serve every student with excellence as the standard and to see our growth toward best in the nation.
It is my hope that you enjoy the winter recess with laughter and connecting with family and friends. I wish you and your families a happy holiday season and wonderful New Year.
