Brevard Public Schools (BPS) announces that it will continue to provide a no cost breakfast to all students under the National School Breakfast Program during the 2010-11 school year. Studies have shown students participating in the School Breakfast Program have improved attendance and punctuality, increased attention and memory recall and improved math, reading and
standardized test scores. The School Breakfast program is federally funded under Provision 2 guidelines and funding for this program is not provided by local tax dollars. This allows schools to serve breakfast to any student at no charge, regardless of their household income.
