The annual Concert on the Green Poster Art Contest is an excellent opportunity for students and their art programs. Winning students will receive a scholarship award for recognition for their work.

Who is Eligible? ANY school-age student residing in Clay County, grades K – 12.

Entry Requirements – PLEASE NOTE - NEW THIS YEAR!!!:There is no cost for entry and no limit on entries. The poster design must
cover a 11” x 12” section of a 11” x 17” paper or canvas (saving 5” on
BOTTOM) using any artistic medium. Winning artwork should reflect the
importance of art and music in the community.

Deadline: February 17, 2012 at 5 pm. An online application must be submitted
with final entries delivered to Village Gallery and Framing, 358-B Stiles Ave. in Orange Park (264-7151). No late entries will be accepted. PLEASE NOTE: Artwork must cover a 11” x 12” section of a 11” x 17” paper or canvas.

Judging: Judging will be based on the artwork that will make the best POSTER for the upcoming Concert on the Green event. Judging will be performed by three judges chosen for their expertise in the visual arts and printing. ALL SUBMITTED entries will be on display for public viewing at an art and music event at New Grace Church, 5804 Hwy 17, Fleming Island, on Monday, April 23, 2012. Winners will be announced on or before March 2, 2012 and the winning entries will be framed and auctioned at a benefit for scholarships.

The Clay County school program responsible for producing the winning poster
will receive a program grant, in addition to recognition via Concert on the Green press releases and news articles. In 2011, this honor was enjoyed by Orange Park High School!

First Place Winner:

  • Receives a scholarship* to the college or art camp of choice
  • Wins the privilege of having her/his artwork as the 2012 Concert on the Green advertising poster and the cover design for the event program
  • Recognition on Concert website and other advertising media

Second and Third Place Winners:

  • Receives a scholarship* to the college or art camp of choice
  • Recognition on Concert website and other advertising media

Honorable mention awards: for the best high school, middle and elementary school:

  • Receives a cash award
  • Recognition on Concert website and other advertising media

*All awards must be claimed within 12 months of high school graduation.
